ONLINE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHING

BUILD A BODY
YOU CAN TRUST

Personalised online strength and conditioning coaching for martial artists 30+ who want to stay strong, mobile, explosive and capable, without letting gym training compete with their martial arts.

Performance. Longevity. Injury resilience.

SOUND FAMILIAR

YOU WANT TO KEEP BEING A MARTIAL ARTIST

If any of this sounds like you, this is exactly who the coaching was built for

/01

You don't want to become a better gym-goer.

You still want to train hard.
You still want to move well.
You still want to be strong, explosive and capable.

/02

But somewhere along the way, things start to change.

You have less time.
Recovery isn't what it used to be.
Old injuries start making themselves known.
You're not moving quite as freely.
And your gym training can start feeling like another thing competing for your time and recovery.

/03

The answer isn't to stop training.

It's to train with more purpose.

YOUR GYM TRAINING SHOULD SUPPORT YOUR MARTIAL ARTS. NOT COMPETE WITH IT.

PRIORITISE

YOU DON'T NEED TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING AT ONCE.

Strength.Mobility.Conditioning.Explosivity.Recovery.

They all matter.

But they don't all need to be the priority at the same time.

A big part of coaching is deciding:

What needs to improve now?

And:

What simply needs to be maintained?

Because maintenance takes far less effort than rebuilding something you've neglected.

PUSH. MAINTAIN. REVISIT.

WHO IT'S FOR

THIS IS FOR YOU IF...

You're a martial artist who:

  • Is 30+ and wants to keep training for the long term.
  • Has a demanding career or busy life outside the gym.
  • Wants to remain strong, mobile, explosive and athletic.
  • Feels like recovery is becoming more important.
  • Has old injuries or recurring niggles you don't want dictating your training.
  • Doesn't want bodybuilding-style training to take over their life.
  • Wants their gym training to complement their martial arts.
  • Wants someone else to make sense of what they actually need to work on.

You don't need to be competitive.
You don't need to be an elite athlete.
You don't need to train every day.

You simply need to care about staying capable.

MEET THE COACH

I'VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE

I started martial arts when I was seven.
Since then I've competed, coached, cross-trained across different disciplines, suffered serious injuries, undergone surgery and had to rebuild my body more than once.

One of my biggest injuries left me with no ankle stability and all of the ligaments torn. I eventually needed reconstructive surgery and had to relearn how to walk.
Later, I dislocated my shoulder during Judo and underwent another surgery, this time with six anchors.

Those experiences changed how I think about training.
I stopped thinking about how much I could push my body today.
I started thinking about what I wanted my body to be capable of years from now.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING BUILT AROUND HOW YOU TRAIN

Judo does not ask the same things of your body as kickboxing, and BJJ does not ask the same things as MMA. Your programme is built around your art, your weekly schedule and what your body needs, not a generic gym template.

JUDO

Throwing, gripping and breakfalling load the shoulders, hips and back. Shaan is a Judo black belt who has competed, and who has dislocated his own shoulder, so he plans around it.

Strength & conditioning for Judo
BJJ & GRAPPLING

Long rounds on the mat ask for strong hips, a resilient neck and back, and enough conditioning to keep your technique when you are tired.

Strength & conditioning for BJJ
KICKBOXING & MUAY THAI

Rotational power, balance on one leg, and ankles and knees that cope with repeated impact.

MMA

Several demands at once. Much of the coaching is deciding what to push this month and what only needs maintaining.

KARATE & TAEKWONDO

Fast, explosive movement and range you can control, not just reach.

ANY OTHER ART

If you train it, we build around it. Tell Shaan what you do and how often.
